JULY 2025 - Heat Embossing
Create greeting cards or small pieces of wall art using the amazing technique of heat embossing! We will be using the WOW! embossing powders to create stunning results with stamped images, die-cuts and MDF shapes. Get ready for some shine and sparkle! Suitable for beginners (adults only). STAMPING - PAPER PIECING & USING A LETTERPRESS PLATFORM
This two-hour workshop will focus on creating greeting cards or small pieces of wall art using two stamping techniques. First we will be paper piecing using stamped images. Then we will be using the Spellbinders Betterpress platform to look at this amazing letterpress technique. Suitable for beginners (adults only). USING A SCOREBOARD TO CREATE ENVELOPES, BOXES AND BASKETS
Learn how to use a scoreboard to make your own envelopes, gift boxes and baskets. Suitable for beginners (adults only). HOT FOILING IN CARD MAKING
Looking to try something new, have a hot foiling platform that's not being used or want to learn some new techniques? This workshop is for you! We focus on the technique of using a hot foiling platform in conjunction with a die-cutting machine, to create stunning results. This workshop covers the basics - equipment, materials, hot foiling on to card and troubleshooting for when things go wrong!
We use the Crafter's Companion Gemini Foilpress in the workshop, with everyone having personal use of a platform and plenty of opportunity to practice and experiment! The Foilpress works in a very similar way to the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foiling System and Couture Creations Go Press and Foil, so the workshop is relevant to all of these systems (any differences are fully explained).
Cost is £10 (payable on the day) with everything provided. You can either make cards in the workshop or spend more time foiling, creating pieces to take home with you. Adults only.
